The Immediate Past (I.P) Chairman of Students Union Association (S.U.A), Osun State Polytechnic (OSPOLY) Iree, Comrade Falana Johnson fondly known as Pappy Jay has advised the newly appointed S.U.A Executives not to let their respective offices divert them from academic pursuits.

Pappy Jay disclosed this today, 22nd December 2021 during an interview with the NEB Journalists, following the inauguration program of the new S.U.A. executives and Faculty Executives in the Koko Campus.

"My advice to the new Chairman and Executives is that they should not allow their offices to control them instead they should be humble and impartial," Pappy Jay stated.

In a similar vein, he advised the new S.U.A Chairman and other executives to carry out their responsibilities in a humble manner.

According to him "I do tell those that come to interview me that; I was not on this seat as the S.U.A chairman yesterday, but here today as the SUA chairman, tomorrow definitely I would not be here".

He recalled how his regime was able to lower the rate of indecent dressing among students and lay the foundation for the institution's 300 pavilions, which he recommended the new regime to continue.

He also counselled all the students to focus on their academic goals and understand the main reason for their stay in the institution.

The New S.U.A Chairman, Comrade Adegbenro Afeez, advised the new executives that they should not consider the opportunity given to them as a method to make money.

"Money is the devil of all root of evil". He stated.

More so, he urged the students to be of good character and develop the ability to secure their future.
