OSPOLY: Director Warns Students Against Examination Malpractice

The Director of Examinations of Osun State Polytechnic, iree, Dr Adewoyin A.O has warned all the ND1 Students of the Daily Part-Time (DPT) Program to desist from all forms of examination malpractice.


This he made known today, 17th of May, 2023 while addressing the students during the orientation program that was organized to enlighten them by the management of the institution.


In his speech at the Orientation, Dr Adewoyin emphasized "Examination Malpractice; effects on students" and stressed that examination malpractice is a means by which students bypass to pass an examination.


Additionally, he charged the students to attend classes and attempt their assignments when due. He also encouraged them to be good ambassadors for their parents and the institution.


However, Mrs Odebunmi O.O, the Assistant Registrar and a counsellor of the institution also discoursed "The Influence of Guidance and Counseling on Student's Discipline and the Effects of Indecent Dressing in the Society". She stated that discipline should always be handled by Parents, Teachers, Lecturers and the elderly in human society.


She also encouraged the students to stay away from violent activities which can terminate their studentship in the institution and also remarked that the students should visit the Guidance and Counseling Office if they encounter any difficulty. 


“If you have anything troubling you, don't die in silence, come to us,” she said. 


In a new development, the Divisional Police Officer of Iree Police Division, Mr Reuben Olanrewaju stressed that the students should refrain from any criminal activities both on campus and outside the campus which can disconcert them from their academic activity.
