OSPOLY: S.U.A HOLDS ORIENTATION PROGRAM IN STYLE

The Student Union Association (S.U.A) of the Daily Part-Time (DPT) program, of Osun State Polytechnic, Iree, has held its Orientation Program for the 2022/2023 academic session slated for 8th of May, 2023.
The event was held today, at the Polytechnic Hall 10 which attracted the ND1/ ND2 students in Koko campus.
The significant fact of the event was to introduce the 2022/2023 regime of the SUA administrators to the new students in a program presided by the management of the institution.
In his welcome address, the Director of the institution, Mr Oseni Muftau Adebayo deliberated on “the essence of Orientation”, congratulated the students and charged them to be focused on the initial purpose of their studentship which is to study and explore successfully to become professional in their various field of study.
Oseni also used the event to charge the students to avoid any form of indecency or inappropriate dressing, he declared that the students should refrain from all immoral acts, insisting that anyone found culpable of immoral conduct would be summarily sanctioned.
In a similar vein, the guest speaker of the occasion, Mr Olayide Lawal also emphasized that the student should participate and abide by the rules and regulations guiding submission files, screening registration and indecent dressing on campus, noting that if any student is found culpable of the law, will terminate his/her studentship in the institution.
“Dear students, Obey the rules and regulations of the institution else, if any student is found not abiding by the law, such student is out of the school” he stated.
Similarly, the Dean of Students Affairs, Alhaji Raimi A.M represented by the deputy registrar, Mr P.F Olawoyin encouraged students who cannot afford their tuition fees to visit the student's affairs for instantaneous solutions.
“There are some issues that students will face which their parents cannot really solve, so you can report to us at the student's affairs and we will help you” he directed.
Moreso, in his speech at the orientation, the Portal manager of the institution, Mr Dotun Omisore, introduces the procedures to the portal, and also admonished all students to visit the school portal to make payments of their fees at “www.ospoly.edu.ng”
He however encouraged the students to report any challenges they may experience on their portal to his office for immediate solution, noting that they should refrain from making inquiries from external persons.
Additionally, the Chairperson of the Student Union Association (SUA), Hon. Com. Ojewale Kehinde Kabeerat in his Orientation speech said that the Orientation program is an eye-opener for the students and also noted that if any student is facing any challenges in his/her registration should report to the administration office for an adequate solution.
She however congratulated the students and encouraged them to be more devoted to their aims of being in the institution.
