“SCHOOL NA SCAM” Gen-Sec Says during FSC Orientation Programme; OSPOLY

The General Secretary of the Faculty of Science (FSC) of the Daily Part-Time (DPT) Program of Osun State Polytechnic, Iree, Hon.  Com. Adejare Kehinde James has made the call that the statement 'school na scam' should not be depicted as it is heard.


This was made known today during an interview session at the Hall 10 building in Koko campus during the faculty orientation program organized for the newly admitted students of the faculty.


He stated that the use of the word 'school na scam' as used by him during the orientation program is a strategy to call the student's attention. In his words, “School na scam’ to me is not a word of manipulation, it is a word of entertainment; there are educational vibes and also entertainment vibe.” he stated.


He acclaimed further that the word 'school na scam' is a common statement among the youth in society, he therefore, urged all students not to adhere to the word as it is been depicted.


In the same vein, the President of the faculty, Hon.  Com.  Iyun Samuel also emphasized that the students should not misunderstand the use of the word 'school na scam'. He further advised all students to acquire vocational skills alongside their education to help them to meet the standard of society in the face of the ailing employment rate in society.


"The word 'school na scam' should not be misinterpreted, but the rate at which we have unemployed graduates roaming the streets does not encourage education, let's try our best to achieve the best results", he stated.
