OSPOLY ASUP Strike: NAMACOS President Blows Hot Says “SUA Chairman Keeps Silence”

The President of the National Association of Mass Communication Students (NAMACOS), Daily Part-Time Program, Osun State Polytechnic, Iree, Comrade Oladeji Isreal Victor has expressed his displeasure at the Student Union Association (SUA) Chairman's silence regarding the suspension of the DPT ongoing examination. 


This he made known today, 30th of July, 2023 in a statement obtained by NEB Correspondent 


Oladeji emphasized that the SUA body has been silent and has not sent any updates to the DPT students regarding their ongoing exams, which were postponed by the institution in response to an ASUP Protest regarding the suspension of the institution's rector. He stressed that the SUG body has been sending messages to students on campus originate.


According to him, “All the updates we're getting concerning the issue of school going on strike or not are from the SUG body, what's going on?”


“This will affect us the most and weren't making moves, or let me say you are not making any move, No memo from the SUA Body, both consolation or info from the union itself, is it that SUA doesn't have a say? Or we don't have the person that can be a voice of us all up there?”


The president however stressed that despite his efforts to reach her, the Chairman ignored his messages and didn't reply to his text.  


“Despite all said I don't get any feedback from the SUA Chairperson,” he said


It will be recalled that OSPOLY ASUP members staged a protest at the institution on Tuesday, July 25, 2023, following the suspension of Tajudeen Odetayo as the Rector which affected the ongoing examination of the Daily Part-Time students of the institution. 


This protest, however, led to the stoppage of the examination and closure of the institution, in which the protesting body insisted all academic activities would be suspended till further notice.

OSPOLY Mgt Schedules Date for DPT Third Semester Examination, Urges Students To Pay School Fees

  By:Ademola Ezekiel  The Management of Osun State polythenic(OSPOLY),Iree scheduled Monday 18th,2023 for the commencement of the Daily Part Time (DPT) Program Third Semester Examination. This was unveiled in an internal memorandum released today,12th March 2023 by the Director of the Part Time  to all Student,which Reference number is OSPOLY/IR/DPTP/DAO/VOL 2/19 signed by Mrs M.V Faniyi Furthermore,  the memo enjoined students to pay their school fees before the commencement of the examination, also urged students to visit the school website to print their examination clearance, make move to be signed by the DPT Coordinator and proceed to the Director of DPT for the same purpose on Wednesday 13th,2023. "Examination Clearance form would be sign upon presentation of school fees receipt and evidence of registration starting from today,Wednesday 13th, 2023" the memo noted Additionally, it enjoined DPT students to comply with the above directive for their own interest.

OSPOLY Mgt Directs DPT Students For Counselling, Warns Failure to Comply Attract Sanction

 By: Mistura Mustapha The Management of Osun State Polytechnic, Iree, have directed all student of the Daily Part Time (DPT) studies for mandatory counselling programme, warns that failure to comply strictly attached sanction.      This was unveiled in an internal memorandum released today, Friday 13th September, 2024 REF No: OSPOLY/SAO/89 which was signed by Mr. Oyedeji M.O, stated that it is mandatory and imperative for all DPT students both ND 1 and ND 2 to make themselves available for the exercise which is scheduled between Monday, 23rd September to Monday 28th October, 2024.             "All students are expected to undergo mandatory counselling exclude no one" memo emphasized.         Furthermore, according to the memo,  noted that time table will be drawn on Faculty basis for collection and submission of Counseling Registration forms from the counselling unit. " Please adhere strictly with this directives failure to comply will attract sanctions" memo warned
