Amidst OSPOLY ASUP Strike, Mgt Orders Part-Time Staff to Resume

The management of Osun State Polytechnic, Iree, has ordered the Part-Time staff members, corpers and I.T students of the institution to resume back to their duty on Tuesday, 8th of August, 2023.


In a memo obtained by our correspondent on Monday,(today), 7th August, 2023, and signed by Mrs. F.O Apara for the Acting Registrar, the institution directed all the teaching and non-teaching part-time staff members to resume their various posts on the stipulated date. Stating that the resumption time is 8: 00am while the closing time remains 4:00 PM daily. 


The memo read in full; 


“I am directed to inform all Part-Time Staff Members, corpers, I.T students in the Institution

(Permanent/Part-Time) to resume for duties with effect from Tuesday, 8th August, 2023


For the avoidance of doubt, the resumption time is 8:00am while closing time is 4:00pm daily. 


“Kindly comply with this directive in your own interest.”


NEB had reported about a meeting between the Students Union Government of Osun State Polytechnic, Iree, and the Academic Staff Union of Polytechnics on Sunday, August 6, 2023, which ended without an agreement of resumption.


Recalled that the Students Union on Saturday, August 5, 2023 invited ASUP to an emergency meeting after the ASUP chairman, Comrade Fatai insisted that the association is still on strike and not ready for resumption as it cannot agree with the appointment of Mr. Kehinde Alabi as the acting rector, stating that he is not qualified in all ramifications.

OSPOLY Mgt Directs DPT Students For Counselling, Warns Failure to Comply Attract Sanction

Ospoly Mgt Announces Disengagement of Part-Time Staff

 By: Tomiwa Obisesan The Management Of Osun state polytechnic, Iree have noticed with Dismay that a Large Percentage Of Part-Time Staff have not been coming to the Office and had been Collecting Unmerited Salaries . This was stated today Saturday, January 18,2025 through an internal memorandum signed by the school registrar Mrs. Foyinsade O. Apara . Furthermore, management had decided to disengage all Part-Time/Contract staff members with effect from Friday, 31st January, 2025 . However, the memo informed all disengaged Part-Time /Contract staff members who are willing to continue with the institution to re-apply through their Head of Department (HOD)/ Head of Unit , (HOU), who in addition would recommend such member of Staff if found . “ Application for Re-Engagement with recommendation letter from HOD/HOU are to be directed to the Registrar and submitted to the Personnel Affairs Office on or before the close of work on Wednesday, 29th January,2025.” the memo noted
