The Students Union Association (SUA) of the Daily Part-Time program at Osun State Polytechnic, Iree, has expressed its dissatisfaction with the institution's management and the State government's inability to reach an agreement over the suspension of academic activity.

In a statement released today, August 2, 2023, by the Union Chairman through the faculty Presidents, they vehemently expressed their desire for the institution's immediate reopening and also revealed that the parties involved (ASUP, Govt.) were unable to reach an agreement after a proposed meeting was scheduled to take place yesterday.

The Union however emphasized that they could not simply watch as the students' destinies were played out like a game from the sidelines by the institution's management.

Relatively, the union while stressing their displeasure also drummed support for the Students' Union Government of the Osun State Polytechnic, Iree on its proposed protest, and however, urged all students to remain calm as the needful would be done as soon as possible.

NEB had earlier reported that the Students’ Union Association encouraged all students to exercise patience as stakeholders of the institution would hold a reconciliation meeting on August 1st, 2023, as scheduled which was not met.
