“I am sorrowful and dejected regarding the passing of one of our students”~FICT President, NAMACOS President Mourns Tragic Loss of Female Student

The Faculty President of Information and Communication Technology (FICT), Daily Part-Time program, Osun State Polytechnic, Iree, Hon Alabetutu Korede has expressed deep sadness and heartfelt condolences over the untimely demise of a lady student, Adufe Kehinde, who passed away tragically after a slight illness.


His condolence message was contained In a statement released and obtained by NEB correspondent today, Saturday, 20th August 2023, and signed by the president. Adufe Kehinde, a National Diploma student majoring in Mass Communication Department under the Faculty of Information and Communication Technology, was widely recognized for her exceptional academic achievements and her active involvement in various student associations on campus and within her community.


The news of her sudden demise after she sat for her examination on Saturday, 19th August 2023 (yesterday) but was accompanied to her hometown later in the day to receive appropriate care for her sickness has left the Polytechnic community in shock and mourning as Hon Akorede, the faculty president, expressed his heartfelt condolences to the family and friends of the deceased student emphasizing the profound loss that the tragic incident represents for both the Polytechnic and society as a whole.


"I am sorrowful and dejected regarding the passing of one of our students who belonged to the Mass Communication department, and was a member of our faculty, She was a dutifully talented and assiduous lady who promised a bright future, She has always been a major contributor to activities being held by the faculty and the department alike, she will be deeply missed by all of us."


"On behalf of the faculty, I extend our genuine and unfeigned  compassion to her family and friends during this hard time, We hope they are able to seek and find relief, consolation, and reassurance, She left a lasting presence on everyone who knew her, Please, members of the faculty, know that you are not alone in your grief, We are here to support you in any way we can, We are all grieving together and we are all here for you.”


“May her beautiful soul rest in perfect peace,” he stated.


However, the President of National Association of Mass Communication Students (NAMACOS), Daily Part Time Program (DPT), Osun State Polytechnic, Iree, Com Oladeji Israel Victor in a public statement made available to the public and co-signed by NAMACOS Executives expressed deep sadness over the demise of Adufe and heartfelt condolences to her family and friends.  


“The leadership of the  NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF MASS COMMUNICATION STUDENTS (NAMACOS)  is deeply saddened to hear of your death  Dear Adufé, The air darkened toward morning the slag heap's yellow flame paled against the sky You may be gone from our sight, but you are never gone from my heart.”


“Our hearts still ache in sadness and secret tears still flow. What it means to lose you, no one will ever know. It broke our  heart to lose you, Remembering you is easy. but there is an ache within our  heart that will never go away. we did not see you close your eyes or hear your last sigh. We only heard that you were gone, too late to say good bye, The leadership of NAMACOS  lengthen  their heartfelt condolences to her family and relations”


“we pray God keep us all and wipe this out of our hearts,  The Executive Council, NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF MASS COMMUNICATION STUDENTS DPT  (NAMACOS) Osun State Polytechnic Iree.” He started.
