JUST IN: ASUP to Review Strike Following Dr. Odetayo's Panel Report

The Academic Staff Union of Polytechnic, Iree chapter In a congress held on Wednesday, August 16, 2023 (today), decided that the union's current strike should continue and be reviewed after the investigation panel's report on the suspension of Dr. Tajudeen Odetayo as the institution's rector
After a meeting at their Secretariat, the Union decided that the suspended DPT examination shouldn't go on and declared that none of the Union's members would be required to participate in the examination.
The association however invited its members to attend the staff audit scheduled for Friday, August 18, 2023 in a decision excerpt provided by the Union General Secretary, Ayinde Wasiu.
The release reads;

“Decision Extract”
“At the emergency Congress of our great Union, ASUP, Iree Chapter today, Wednesday, 16th August, 2023; it was unanimously agreed as follows:”
“1. That the ongoing suspended academic activities should continue and to be reviewed after the release of the Investigative Panel's Report;”
“2. That the scheduled Staff Audit slated for Friday, 18th August, 2023 should be attended appropriately by all members of ASUP.”
“3. The suspended examination should continue but ASUP members are required not to participate in the examination.
4. Thank you.”
