The Coordinator further stressed that the measures will enhance student engagement, foster a sense of responsibility, and promote effective communication between students. Stating that the new class governor and deputy governor, along with the staff representatives, will act as intermediaries, bridging the gap between the students and the management.

The statement read in full:

“Happy resumption to you all. This is to inform you that I will be at the Koko campus on Monday to attend to election of the new stream B class governor and deputy Governor.”

“Also immediately a new Governor is elected, a new whatsapp group will be opened and the old will be deleted with immediate effect.”

“Also, each class and stream will now have a staff representative that will be part of each group  to monitor and advise students on school activities.”

“You will know your staff representative on Monday as well. Till Monday. I wish you all a blessed weekend”

It would be recalled that the Stream-B Governor, Olaleye Mayowa Bolaji, and Deputy Governor, Adeshina Aishat were suspended from their positions as class representatives over allegations emerged that the duo had been demanding ₦200 from fellow coursemates.

The decision that sparked reactions through the student body was in a statement released by the coordinator on the 22nd of August, 2023. Mrs Igein disclosed that the stream-B ND1 Governor and Deputy Governor had been demanding ₦200 from their Coursemates under the pretext of raising funds stating that the students' results for the Office Technology Management (OTM) course are certain.
