The National Diploma (ND1) students pursuing Office Technology and Management at the Daily Part-Time program, Osun State Polytechnic, Iree, have expressed their frustration and disappointment over the lack of a dedicated writing board in their department.

The students, who have chosen Office Technology and Management (OTM) as their field of study to develop essential skills, believe that the absence of a new writing board has severely impacted their education noting that the old one is severely damaged. However, the board is an indispensable tool for conducting group discussions, brainstorming sessions, and visualizing concepts through diagrams and flowcharts.

Some of the students who spoke with NEB under anonymity today, 3rd October, 2023 lamented the lack of a writing Board, which has made it hard for them to comprehend what lecturers enunciated sometimes during lectures.

Similarly, one of the students who preferred to remain anonymous said “We actually have a writing board but is it bad and rough, and we've talked to the important people about it and they said they will work on it”.

“I want them to actually work on it very fast because, the lack of the board is actually delaying our lectures and also drawing lectures back.” he stated.

The students of the OTM department are urging the department executives to furnish their department with a writing board to ensure the seamless operation of academic activities.
