FICT Wins SUA Quiz, Secures Second Position in Debate Competition, Representatives Narrate Ordeals

THE FICT QUIZ REPRESENTATIVESThe students representative of the prestigious Faculty of Information and Communication Technology (FICT) at the Daily Part-Time program, Osun State Polytechnic, Iree, have once again showcased their exceptional intellectual prowess by emerging victorious in the highly competitive Students Union Association (SUA) Quiz competition and secured an impressive second position in the equally challenging Debate competition.
The SUA Quiz competition, held at the renowned SLT/Accounting Department, on Monday, 6th November 2023, and 10th November 2023 brought together students from various faculties. FICT's team, comprising three talented members, proved their mettle by outshining their competitors with their comprehensive knowledge and quick thinking. The team's exceptional performance in various rounds, including general knowledge, current affairs, and technical expertise, led them to clinch the coveted first position.
In addition to their triumph in the Quiz competition, the FICT's debaters comprising four representatives exhibited exemplary oratory skills and critical thinking in the highly competitive Debate competition. Despite fierce competition from other faculties, FICT secured a commendable second position, impressing the judges and the audience alike with their well-researched arguments and eloquent delivery.
The success of FICT in the SUA Quiz competition and the Debate competition has not only brought recognition to the faculty but has also inspired and motivated students across the polytechnic community. It serves as a reminder of the remarkable talent and academic excellence that exists within the institution.
FICT's triumph in the SUA Quiz and Debate competitions is undoubtedly a testament to the dedication, hard work, and intellectual acumen of the members of the Faculty-led by Hon. Com. Alabetutu Korede, NAMACOS members led by EDM Hon. Com. Oladeji Israel Victor, and NAMACOS EDITORIAL BOARD members led by EDM Boluwaji Daso. The achievements of the students have further solidified FICT's reputation as a hub of academic brilliance and a breeding ground for future leaders in the field of information and communication technology.
