JUST IN: NEB Advertising Editor Wins NAOSS Debate Competition

The Advertising Editor of the Namacos Editorial Board and the Financial Secretary of the Faculty of Information and Communication Technology, Daily Part-Time program at Osun State Polytechnic, Iree, Hon. Com. EDM Akeem Yusuf Olatunji has emerged as the winner of the prestigious National Association of Osun State Students Debate Competition (NAOSS).


The event held at the I.C.T 3 of the institution today, 16th November, 2023, brought together an impressive pool of talented debaters as registered by the NAOSS executives. The event aimed to foster intellectual discourse among students and promote critical thinking and effective communication skills.



Akeem Yusuf Olatunji, known for his articulate speaking style and impressive command of language, captivated the audience and judges alike with his well-researched arguments and persuasive delivery. Throughout the competition, he demonstrated exceptional clarity of thought and the ability to think on his feet, making him a formidable contender.


The topic of the debate centered around "Reviving Osun State Economy: Which way? Political Leadership or Religious Leadership." Akeem skillfully presented his case, offering insightful perspectives on economy policy, Infrastructure development, education and skills development, osun state economy

Upon being announced as the winner, Akeem Yusuf Olatunji expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to participate in the prestigious competition and thanked his mentors, faculty members, and fellow students for their support and encouragement throughout his journey.


"I am incredibly honored and humbled to have won this esteemed competition," Akeem said.


 "I am grateful to the National Association of Osun State Students for organizing this event, allowing us to engage in meaningful discussions on pertinent educational issues. This victory is a testament to the power of knowledge and the importance of effective communication." He said

OSPOLY Mgt Schedules Date for DPT Third Semester Examination, Urges Students To Pay School Fees

  By:Ademola Ezekiel  The Management of Osun State polythenic(OSPOLY),Iree scheduled Monday 18th,2023 for the commencement of the Daily Part Time (DPT) Program Third Semester Examination. This was unveiled in an internal memorandum released today,12th March 2023 by the Director of the Part Time  to all Student,which Reference number is OSPOLY/IR/DPTP/DAO/VOL 2/19 signed by Mrs M.V Faniyi Furthermore,  the memo enjoined students to pay their school fees before the commencement of the examination, also urged students to visit the school website to print their examination clearance, make move to be signed by the DPT Coordinator and proceed to the Director of DPT for the same purpose on Wednesday 13th,2023. "Examination Clearance form would be sign upon presentation of school fees receipt and evidence of registration starting from today,Wednesday 13th, 2023" the memo noted Additionally, it enjoined DPT students to comply with the above directive for their own interest.

OSPOLY Mgt Directs DPT Students For Counselling, Warns Failure to Comply Attract Sanction

 By: Mistura Mustapha The Management of Osun State Polytechnic, Iree, have directed all student of the Daily Part Time (DPT) studies for mandatory counselling programme, warns that failure to comply strictly attached sanction.      This was unveiled in an internal memorandum released today, Friday 13th September, 2024 REF No: OSPOLY/SAO/89 which was signed by Mr. Oyedeji M.O, stated that it is mandatory and imperative for all DPT students both ND 1 and ND 2 to make themselves available for the exercise which is scheduled between Monday, 23rd September to Monday 28th October, 2024.             "All students are expected to undergo mandatory counselling exclude no one" memo emphasized.         Furthermore, according to the memo,  noted that time table will be drawn on Faculty basis for collection and submission of Counseling Registration forms from the counselling unit. " Please adhere strictly with this directives failure to comply will attract sanctions" memo warned
