JUST IN: Former NEB EIC Receives 'BES Award; Faculty Unveils Newly Elected Mr, Miss FICT for 2023/2024 Academic Session

The immediate past Editor-in-Chief (EIC) of the NAMACOS Editorial Board (NEB), Daily Part-Time program at Osun State Polytechnic, Iree, EDM Daso Boluwaji, has been honored with the prestigious ‘Best Encouraging Student’ award for the Faculty of Information and Communication Technology (FICT) at the Award and Dinner Night party organized under the leadership of Hon. Alabetutu Korede. 


EDM Boluwaji, a dedicated and diligent student, was recognized for his exceptional contribution to the academic and extracurricular life at the institution. His leadership as the former EIC of NEB, where he demonstrated outstanding editorial skills and a commitment to promoting the values of journalism, played a significant role in his selection for the award today, 14th December 2023.


The award, presented at a special ceremony held at Havana, campus road, acknowledges Boluwaji's remarkable efforts in fostering a positive learning environment within the FICT. However, his innovative ideas and unwavering support for his fellow students have left a lasting impact on the faculty.


In response to receiving this accolade, Boluwaji expressed his gratitude, stating, "I am deeply honored to receive the ‘Best Encouraging Student’ award. It is truly humbling to be recognized as a student in the academic and extracurricular life at Ospoly. I am grateful for the opportunities I have had to make a positive impact and for the support of my peers and NEB members."


However, Jubilation filled the air as EDM Ogedengbe Favour Blessing was crowned the new Mr. FICT, and Lawal Oluwaferanmi as the esteemed Mrs. FICT. Additionally, NEB Broadcast Manager 1, EDM Adegbite Jeremiah was celebrated for securing the title of ‘Most Active Class Governor.’

The announcement of the new Mr. and Mrs. FICT and the recognition of the Most Active Class Governor sparked excitement and pride among students at the institution. The trio's achievements were celebrated as a testament to their outstanding leadership, dedication, and positive impact within the academic community.


EDM Ogedengbe Favour Blessing, the newly inducted Mr. FICT, was commended for his exemplary representation and embodiment of the values of the faculty. His dedication to academic excellence and his contributions to the extracurricular life at the institution have made him a role model for his peers.


Likewise, Lawal Oluwaferanmi's appointment as Mrs. FICT recognized her commitment to fostering a supportive and inclusive environment within the faculty. Her leadership and advocacy for student welfare have earned her widespread admiration and respect.


NEB Broadcast Manager 1 EDM Adegbite Jeremiah's achievement as the Most Active Class Governor was met with resounding applause. His proactive approach and effective leadership have left a lasting impact on the student body, making him a deserving recipient of this esteemed title.
