The Mass Communication Coordinator of Osun State Polytechnic, Iree, Mr. Temitope Adewumi, has called on students of Mass Communication Department in the Daily Part-Time (DPT) programme to take their academics seriously by regularly attending classes and refraining from leaving early without permission.
Mr. Adewumi made this appeal on Wednesday, May 14, 2025, while addressing ND2 DPT students at Hall 3, Koko Campus.
He emphasized that students must inform their lecturers before leaving the campus during school hours. He also strongly warned against the consumption of alcohol on campus and stressed the importance of showing respect to all lecturers.
“Disrespect towards lecturers and loitering outside during lectures will not be tolerated,” he said.
In addition, Adewumi reminded students to adhere strictly to the departmental dress code, especially on designated days—Mondays and Wednesdays.
He further encouraged students to actively engage in practical sessions, noting that they significantly contribute to their overall assessment.
Lastly, the coordinator informed the students that their ND1 first semester results are expected to be released by the end of the month, provided there are no delays.
