FICT 2025 Opener Ends in Thrilling 2-2 Draw Between Mass Communication ND2 and Computer Science ND2

The much-anticipated FICT 2025 football competition kicked off with real intensity as Mass Communication ND2 and Computer Science ND2 battled to a 2-2 draw on Monday, June 16th, at the Osun State Polytechnic, Iree. From the first whistle to the last, the match was packed with tension, passion, and moments that had fans on the edge of their seats.

It was Computer Science ND2 who drew first blood, catching the Mass Comm defense off guard with an early goal that instantly shifted the tempo of the game. Mass Comm struggled to settle in the opening minutes, but they didn’t back down. Their determination paid off when they won a penalty after consistent pressure, and they calmly converted it to level things up before halftime.

However, The second half saw a much stronger and more coordinated Mass Comm side take control. With a few tactical substitutions and a renewed sense of urgency, they quickly scored again to take the lead. They kept pushing forward, creating several clear chances to kill the game off, but they just couldn’t finish.

And then came the sting. With only minutes to go, Computer Science ND2 took advantage of a defensive lapse and buried a late equalizer. It was a painful blow for Mass Comm, who had done more than enough to win, but the draw means both teams walk away with a point and fans walk away with a game to remember.

OSPOLY Mgt Directs DPT Students For Counselling, Warns Failure to Comply Attract Sanction

Ospoly Mgt Announces Disengagement of Part-Time Staff

 By: Tomiwa Obisesan The Management Of Osun state polytechnic, Iree have noticed with Dismay that a Large Percentage Of Part-Time Staff have not been coming to the Office and had been Collecting Unmerited Salaries . This was stated today Saturday, January 18,2025 through an internal memorandum signed by the school registrar Mrs. Foyinsade O. Apara . Furthermore, management had decided to disengage all Part-Time/Contract staff members with effect from Friday, 31st January, 2025 . However, the memo informed all disengaged Part-Time /Contract staff members who are willing to continue with the institution to re-apply through their Head of Department (HOD)/ Head of Unit , (HOU), who in addition would recommend such member of Staff if found . “ Application for Re-Engagement with recommendation letter from HOD/HOU are to be directed to the Registrar and submitted to the Personnel Affairs Office on or before the close of work on Wednesday, 29th January,2025.” the memo noted
