OSPOLY Iree Rector Urges New Students to Embrace Discipline, Academic Integrity

By: NEB REPORTS

The Rector of Osun State Polytechnic, Iree, Mr. Kehinde Alabi, has called on newly admitted Daily Part-Time students to not only obtain a copy of the Student Guidance but also to adhere strictly to its guidelines.

He made this appeal on Friday, July 4, 2025, during the matriculation ceremony held at the Educational Trust Fund (ETF) Hall of the institution.

Mr. Alabi noted that while the Polytechnic offers a wide range of opportunities to students, they must remember that "to whom much is given, much is expected." He emphasized that students are expected to be law-abiding, disciplined, and prompt in the payment of their tuition and other dues.

"It is in your best interest to avoid indecent dressing, cultism, thuggery, and hooliganism," the Rector warned. "Instead, cultivate habits that will positively represent the name of this institution beyond its walls."

He further encouraged students to remain steadfast in their pursuit of knowledge and academic excellence. As examinations approach, he offered prayers for their success and urged them to avoid fraudulent acts and all forms of examination malpractice.

Mr. Alabi also revealed that the Polytechnic is set to digitalize its operations, beginning with the provision of 24-hour internet connectivity on campus in the near future.
