Osun State Polytechnic, Iree Hosts Second International Conference on Sustainability

Osun State Polytechnic, Iree, through its Directorate of Research and Publications, held the second edition of its Multi-Disciplinary International Conference on July 1st, 2025. The event attracted renowned scholars and experts from various disciplines to engage in meaningful dialogue on national development.

Themed “Building a Sustainable Future with Knowledge and Innovation,” the conference focused on harnessing academic research and technological advancements to address Nigeria’s developmental challenges.

In his welcome address, the Director of Research and Publications, Dr. A.T. Odebunmi, emphasized the need for collective effort in achieving a sustainable future. “By addressing this theme, we hope to make a meaningful contribution toward nation-building through knowledge and innovation,” he stated.

The conference featured robust discussions on key areas such as renewable energy, environmental preservation, and scientific and technological progress. Participants exchanged insights and practical strategies aimed at creating a resilient and prosperous future for Nigeria.

Furthermore, Hon. Diran Ayanbeku, the Governing Council Chairman of the Institution urged all attendees to approach each session, interaction, and debate with the seriousness it deserves. He also described the event as a landmark in the intellectual advancement of Osun State Polytechnic, Iree.

OSPOLY Mgt Directs DPT Students For Counselling, Warns Failure to Comply Attract Sanction

 By: Mistura Mustapha The Management of Osun State Polytechnic, Iree, have directed all student of the Daily Part Time (DPT) studies for mandatory counselling programme, warns that failure to comply strictly attached sanction.      This was unveiled in an internal memorandum released today, Friday 13th September, 2024 REF No: OSPOLY/SAO/89 which was signed by Mr. Oyedeji M.O, stated that it is mandatory and imperative for all DPT students both ND 1 and ND 2 to make themselves available for the exercise which is scheduled between Monday, 23rd September to Monday 28th October, 2024.             "All students are expected to undergo mandatory counselling exclude no one" memo emphasized.         Furthermore, according to the memo,  noted that time table will be drawn on Faculty basis for collection and submission of Counseling Registration forms from the counselling unit. Ospoly Mgt Announces Disengagement of Part-Time Staff

 By: Tomiwa Obisesan The Management Of Osun state polytechnic, Iree have noticed with Dismay that a Large Percentage Of Part-Time Staff have not been coming to the Office and had been Collecting Unmerited Salaries . This was stated today Saturday, January 18,2025 through an internal memorandum signed by the school registrar Mrs. Foyinsade O. Apara . Furthermore, management had decided to disengage all Part-Time/Contract staff members with effect from Friday, 31st January, 2025 . However, the memo informed all disengaged Part-Time /Contract staff members who are willing to continue with the institution to re-apply through their Head of Department (HOD)/ Head of Unit , (HOU), who in addition would recommend such member of Staff if found . “ Application for Re-Engagement with recommendation letter from HOD/HOU are to be directed to the Registrar and submitted to the Personnel Affairs Office on or before the close of work on Wednesday, 29th January,2025.” the memo noted
