OSPOLY Holds Third Edition International Conference, Governor Charges Graduates to Create Jobs

The Governor of Osun State, Senator Ademola Jackson Nurudeen Adeleke duly represented by Honourable Commissioner  of Education, Hon. Dipo Sunday Oluwole has declared the opening of third edition Multidisciplinary International Conference of Osun State Polytechnic, Iree.


The conference themed "Skills, Innovation, and Industry Partnership as a Pathway to National Development," with twelve sub-themes covering areas such as AI and Digital Technologies, Agricultural Sciences, Health Sciences, Smart Manufacturing, and Policy and Governance took place today Tuesday, June 16, 2026 at the ETF Building of Osun State Polytechnic, Iree, organised by the Directorate of Research and Publications in collaboration with Academic World, United Kingdom. 


Hon. Dipo on behalf of Osun Governor congratulated the Rector and management for sustaining the conference to its third edition and charged graduates to be productive citizens. He also challenged everyone to be hardworking and actively contribute to the development of Osun State

 

 "I don't want an Osun graduate to be walking around the street looking for a job, I want  our graduates to be investing, manufacturing, and providing jobs for others."  He declares


Similarly, The Rector of Osun State Polytechnic, Iree Mr Kehinde Alabi  welcomed everyone to the 3rd Edition Multidisciplinary International Conference organised by the institution.


In his speech, he emphasised that Nigeria doesn't need more graduates but Nigeria needs more skills graduates.


However, the event attracted notable attendees including Osun state Governor representative Hon. Dipo Sunday, Guest Speaker Prof. Olatunde Olatunji, Lead Paper Presenter Prof. Solomon Ojo of Osun State University, Panel Discussant Dr. Gbadebo Taofeek Yusuf, Chief Host Hon. Diran Ayanboku, Chairman of the Governing Council, Ospoly Rector, Mr Alabi Kehinde, Ospoly registrar Mr Abiodun Oloyede, Directors, Dean of faculties, Head of Department, Stakeholders and Students.
