 By: Ademola Ezekiel The Students Union Association Executives  in  Osun State Polytechnic (OSPOLY)Iree, under the leadership of Hon. Comr. Ogunmodede Oluwatobiloba has congratulated and welcomed the Newly admitted students into the Daily Part Time program and also urged students to shun cultism,stay away from indecent dressing and follow the institution code of conduct. This was stated in a memorandum released today, 25th of April,2024 to all newly admitted students through Hon. Comr. Oludayo Oluwapelumi (PRO) and signed by the SUA chairman. Furthermore,the memo noted that, if any students need help or have any questions they should feel free to ask them. In a similar vein, the memo noted that the screening has commenced on April 23th for all department and all newly admitted students are expected to proceed to the screening hall with their Bio-data, admission letter, all receipt, passport and other documents.

EDM OLATONA OLANREWAJU OLAIDE, affectionately known as Larry, tragically lost his life in an accident on the Ikirun road on Monday, April 15, 2024. This devastating news has plunged the students of Osun State Polytechnic, particularly the mass communication students, into deep sorrow.  Larry, who served as the class governor of Mass Communication Stream B, held the position of financial secretary in NAMACOS and was also the NEB ND2 correspondence. His sudden demise remains a mystery to the entire student body, as he was cherished and loved by all.  To honor Larry's memory and express their profound grief, the President of NAMACOS and the mass communication students have organized a candlelight night,which was done today April 20, 2024. They received heartbreaking news about the untimely death of Comr. EDM Olatona Olanrewaju Olaide, also known as LARRY. As the newly appointed NAMACOS financial secretary and former Governor of stream B, his loss has left everyone in mourning.  According to the account of DPT NAMACOS president, Comr. EDM Adegbite Jeremiah, who was present at the burial, the tragic accident occurred on the Ikirun road around 9pm on the 15th of April, 2024. Larry was returning from Osogbo to Iree when the bike he was riding collided with a trailer. Sadly, Larry did not survive the accident and was laid to rest today at his family house in Ikirun.  The news of Larry's passing has sent shockwaves through the student community, leaving many in disbelief. EDM Olatona Olanrewaju Olaide popularly know as LARRY reportedly died in an Auto Crash. According to the information NEB reporter gathered from the DPT NAMACOS president, Comr. EDM. Adegbite Jeremiah,who witnessed the burial said the accident occurred at Ikirun road around 9pm on the 15th of April,2024 while he was coming back from Osogbo for Iree. "The bike he carried collided with a trailer at Ikirun which Larry couldn't survive it,he died immediately  and was buried yesterday at his family house in Ikirun while his friend was in coma receiving treatment. *
