OSPOLY DPT Mass Comm Coordinator, Adewumi Warns Against Indecent Dressing, Alcohol Consumption on Campus

By: Kafila Oladejo The Coordinator of the Daily Part-Time (DPT) Mass Communication program at Osun State Polytechnic, Iree, Mr. Adewumi Temitope, has cautioned ND1 students against engaging in indecent dressing and alcohol consumption on campus. Mr. Adewunmi gave this warning on Wednesday, May 14, 2025, while addressing newly admitted DPT students at Hall 4, Koko Campus. He emphasized strict adherence to the institution’s dress code, especially on Mondays and Wednesdays when corporate dress is mandatory. “Any student found violating this rule will not be allowed into lectures,” he firmly stated. In addition to enforcing the dress code, Mr. Adewunmi also warned students against consuming alcohol within school premises. He noted that offenders would face severe disciplinary actions, including possible expulsion. Mr. Adewumi made this appeal on Wednesday, May 14, 2025, while addressing ND2 DPT students at Hall 3, Koko Campus. He emphasized that students must inform their lecturers before leaving the campus during school hours. He also strongly warned against the consumption of alcohol on campus and stressed the importance of showing respect to all lecturers. “Disrespect towards lecturers and loitering outside during lectures will not be tolerated,” he said. OSPOLY's Beloved ' Iya Favour ' Laid to Rest in Osogbo.

 NEB REPORTS A wave of sorrow has swept through the Daily Part Time (DPT), Faculty of Management Sciences (FMS) at Osun State Polytechnic, Iree, following the heartbreaking death of one of its respected officers, Mrs. Ojelade Abidemi Favour, widely known as " Iya Favour" . Who passed away on May 5, 2025, after a short illness, and was laid to rest today, May 7 in Osogbo. Mrs. Ojelade, who worked at the wings of the institution (Koko Campus), was said to have fallen ill and remained sick for three days before being taken to the hospital. Sadly, she was referred to another medical facility while her condition worsened require oxygen and she eventually passed away. Speaking on the incident with NEB Correspondent, the Students’ Union Association (SUA) Chairman, Hon. FICT ND1 Students at OSPOLY Urged to Complete JAMB Regularization, ID Card Required for Campus Access by May 30

Oluwagbemiga Akanle, has issued an urgent directive to all ND1 students in the Faculty of Information and Communication Technology (FICT) regarding the immediate need to complete their JAMB regularization. This announcement was made via an internal memorandum released today, May 1. Students are required to finalize the process and submit their information to either the SUA Welfare Officer or the SUA Chairman by Friday. Also said Departmental presidents are also available to assist those who may be unable to reach the SUA officials directly. Additionally, the memo emphasized that from May 30, students without valid identification cards either departmental or school-issued will be denied entry to the Koko campus. In a recent visit to the JAMB office at Agunbelewo, he reaffirmed the union’s commitment to easing the burden on students and ensuring a smoother academic experience. "We took the initiative to visit the JAMB office after hearing about the stress many of our students are facing with their regularization," he stated.
