According to the Osun Defender, the suspended rector stated that he is not aware of any petitions or complaints made against him by anyone. According to the report, Odetayo asserted that he was suspended without being informed in advance of the petition or charge. “I was not aware of any petition or complaint against me. The only thing I saw was the suspension letter from the Ministry of Education. Nobody ever told me anything. K. Jimoh dated July 11th 2023.  The Dr was appointed as substantive Rector of the Polytechnic on March 14, 2023, by the Governor of the state, Ademola Adeleke.
