According to the Osun Defender, the suspended rector stated that he is not aware of any petitions or complaints made against him by anyone. According to the report, Odetayo asserted that he was suspended without being informed in advance of the petition or charge. “I was not aware of any petition or complaint against me. The only thing I saw was the suspension letter from the Ministry of Education. Nobody ever told me anything. By: Boluwaji Daso The Management of Osun State Polytechnic, Iree has instructed the non-teaching staff members of the institution to return back to their duty post unfailingly on Monday 31st of July, 2023.    This was made obtainable in a memo released by the institution with the reference number POLY/PER,50/168, dated 28th July, 2023 and signed by Mrs. F.O Apara for the Acting Registrar, however, the institution directed all the permanent and part-time staff members to resume their various posts since the institution isn't on break. By: Boluwaji Daso                    Dr. Tajudeen Odetayo  The Government of Osun State has suspended the Rector of Osun State Polytechnic, Iree, Dr Tajudeen Odetayo over alleged corruption and misappropriation of Funds.  The rector's suspension was contained in a statement communicated by the Ministry of Education and signed by the Permanent Secretary, M. K. Jimoh dated July 11th 2023.  The Dr was appointed as substantive Rector of the Polytechnic on March 14, 2023, by the Governor of the state, Ademola Adeleke. The rearrangement of the examination timetable is as the result of the Hijrah 1445AH public holiday declared by the government of Osun state.  The memo that was released by OSPOLY management and obtained by NEB reads, "As a result of the public holiday declared for Wednesday, 19th July, 2023 by Osun State government in commemoration of Hirah 1445 AH Islamic New Year for all Muslims, I have the directive of the Rector to inform the Polytechnic Community that the institution examination time-table should be adjusted to accommodate the development. “Hence, examination day 3 will now be Thursday, 20th July, 2023 while other dates will be adjusted accordingly.
