“Suspended Academic Activities Should Resume with Immediate Effect”-OSPOLY ASUP

By: Boluwaji Daso The Academic Staff Union of Polytechnic (ASUP), Iree chapter In a congress held today, Wednesday, August 23, 2023, has reached a decision to promptly resume the institution's suspended academic activities with immediate effect.  This was contained in a memo released by the union General Secretary, Ayinde Wasiu A., Following the congress, the Union issued a 21-day ultimatum to the government, emphasizing the need for prompt action in establishing a fully constituted Governing Council for Osun State Polytechnic, Iree.   However, the association urged the government to issue a letter of confirmation to sought for the Deputy Rector-Elect emphasizing the importance while expecting a quick reaction from the government within the given timeframe. This decision which sparked reactions through the student body was in a statement released by the coordinator today, 22nd of August, 2023. His condolence message was contained In a statement released and obtained by NEB correspondent today, Saturday, 20th August 2023, and signed by the president. Adufe Kehinde, a National Diploma student majoring in Mass Communication Department under the Faculty of Information and Communication Technology, was widely recognized for her exceptional academic achievements and her active involvement in various student associations on campus and within her community. The news of her sudden demise after she sat for her examination on Saturday, 19th August 2023 (yesterday) but was accompanied to her hometown later in the day to receive appropriate care for her sickness

By: Boluwaji Daso    … “All Papers Scheduled for Monday will now Hold on Thursday” The management of Osun State Polytechnic, Iree, has officially rescheduled the ongoing examination for the Daily Part-Time students which was initially scheduled for Monday, 21st August 2023, to be held on Thursday, 24th August 2023.   In a statement released and obtained by NEB correspondent today, Saturday, 19th August 2023, with the reference number; DEX/OSC/03/23 and signed by A.O Adewoyin, Ph.D, FCIB, the management informed the polytechnic community that all examinations originally scheduled for Monday, 21st August 2023 will now be held on Thursday, 24th August 2023 to accommodate the public holiday and ensure that students have sufficient time to prepare for their examinations. By: Boluwaji Daso The Academic Staff Union of Polytechnic, Iree Chapter's respected members have been informed of a Congress that would be summoned at MPH on Wednesday, August 16, 2023 in a trending memo that purported to have been written by the General Secretary of the association. According to the trending release which was directed to ASUP members and alleged to have been released by the Union General Secretary, the Congress which would begin by 11 AM is to discuss the update on the suspension of academic activities in Osun State Polytechnic, Iree. In the purported release, the Union reminded the members that their current struggle is still on and none of them are expected to attend any academic activities until Congress decide otherwise. OSPOLY: Time-Table Rescheduled As Suspended DPT Examinations to Resume on Tuesday

By: Boluwaji Daso The top management staff of Osun State Polytechnic, Iree has issued a directive to resume the suspended 2022/2023 first semester examinations for the Daily Part-Time program students wing of the institution on Tuesday, 15th August, 2023.  The decision was conveyed in an internal memorandum obtained by our correspondent with the reference number; DEX/OSC/02/23 and signed by A.O Adewoyin, Ph.D, FCIB, following the recently released acting registrar memo, REG.105/VOLII/223, dated 11th August 2023, from the Office of the Registrar. According to the memorandum, the rescheduled examinations will commence on Tuesday, 15th August 2023, and conclude on Wednesday, 23rd August 2023. Stating that the examinations will span from day 7 to day 14, as per the examination timetable.
